The Power Collection Visiting our material factory Share Aleksandra Pawlowska February 24, 2020 View this post on Instagram I really enjoyed visiting the factory that provides the materials for our clothing. It was incredible to see how much work and expertise goes into creating sustainable materials that will later land in our wardrobes and on our bodies. – The factory we work with is on a a mission to embrace nature rather than to impact it, hence the initiatives it implements, including Rain Water Harvesting, Energy Conservation Drives, a Sewage Treatment Plant and a Water Recycling Plant. It recycles and reuses more than 75% of its waste water using an in-house Effluent Treatment Plant that you can see on the video. – For our clothes, we have chosen 95% organic cotton with 5% spandex woven and dyed in an environmentally friendly way in ISO 14001 certified factory. Organic materials are important because it means that no pesticides, that are harmful both to the environment and local communities, were used to grow the cotton. – Music: Wild Cherry by @helloitsmrchase A post shared by Looking for Heroes (@lookingforheroes) on Feb 23, 2020 at 4:46am PST Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
